World of Webelos

November 18-20, 2022

Camp Brosig
1893 Trenckman Rd.
Sealy, TX 77474

World of Webelos is an event for Webelos Scouts (4th and 5th graders) to work on adventures and get an introduction to what Scouts BSA has to offer. Webelos dens will participate in various Scout skills hosted by area troops.

A parent/guardian should accompany every Webelos den. The 5th grade Webelos Scouts will be introduced to the patrol method. The Webelos Scouts will participate in rank-appropriate activities. Parents will have an opportunity to visit with area troops. This is an opportunity to find a troop that fits your family's style of Scouting to join. Webelos Scouts and their parents are encouraged to visit troops.  This is a good time to meet the adult leadership and watch the Scouts in action.  This is a great time to ask questions and learn about the troop. This event can be a key component of the pack program that assists Webelos Scouts as they make the important decision of which troop to join. Learn more about Webelos-to-Scout transition and information to help assist Webelos Scouts as they make the important decision on which troop to join and questions to ask troops at

Advancement Opportunities

Webelos Scouts have the opportunity to earn the Scouting Adventure requirement 4: With your Webelos den leader, parent, or guardian, participate in a Scouts BSA troop's campout or other outdoor activity. Use the patrol method while on the outing.

Additional requirements from the "Scouting Adventure" and "Outdoor Adventurer" may be met, depending on availability and Scout participation.

In most cases, the Webelos Scout will be under the supervision of their parent or guardian. It is essential that each Webelos Scout be under the supervision of a parent-approved adult (Guide to Safe Scouting).

Rain Date / Late Breaking Information

For late-breaking news and announcements, follow us on Facebook. The event is held rain or shine unless there is going to be dangerous weather.

Field or activity uniforms should be worn at all activities.

What to Bring

Personal gear:

  • Scouts may wear their uniform or a Scouting t-shirt
  • Snacks
  • Water bottle
  • Camp chair
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray

* Medical Record: We require all participants to bring an Annual Health and Medical Record to every Scouting event. The Scouting adventures, camping trips, and having fun are important to everyone in Scouting—and so is your safety and well-being. Completing the Annual Health and Medical Record is the first step in making sure you have a great Scouting experience. Completing a health history promotes health awareness, collects necessary data, and provides medical professionals critical information needed to treat a patient in the event of an illness or injury. It also provides emergency contact information. Please download the form and have the form with you at all Scouting events for every member of your family.

^ Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended for all Scouting events. Many of our outdoor venues have snakes and sticks that can injure toes. Many of our activities include active games, so shoes that Scouts can run in (e.g., tennis shoes) are recommended.
